We are officially in Cambodia!! After 3 flights over the course of 2 days and two bus rides over the course of 3 travel days including the bus and plane, we are officially in our ministry locations! There is 6 teams on my squad and each team is being sent out to a different place around Cambodia doing different types of ministry! My team, team YADA (yuh-DAH), is going to be doing children’s ministry all over! When I heard what we were going to be doing, I was SO SO excited because children’s ministry is what I was the most excited for.
After the week that we had in Florida doing disaster relief restoration, we had another week back at base camp for debrief. It was week where we could just relax and get a chance to catch our breath before we officially go out into all the nations. Woohoo! It was really nice to be able to meet our coaches for our squad as well! We got to have one on ones and just get to know them and talk to whatever other leader we wanted to, which was great.
Training camp was such an amazing growth experience that I didn’t know how much I needed until I got there. I feel I truly understand what Jesus said take up your cross and follow me, when Jesus said to die to your flesh and live in the Holy Spirit. It’s okay to not know all of the answers, but what’s most important is that you know you can trust God with all of your heart because He has always kept His promises! We don’t need to lean on our own understanding for anything because we know that His understanding and His plans are always greater than ours. There is so much freedom in repentance and forgiveness that is filled by the Holy Spirit, it cannot be fulfilled by worldly things.
I cannot wait to see what the Lord is going to continue to teach me through my time being in all of the nations. Thank you all so much to those who are praying for me. Please continue to pray for me and the countries and places that I am going to, there is a lot of spiritual warfare going on and a lot of spiritual heaviness. Just prayers for wisdom, guidance, and discernment on how to go about going through these places.
