“My prayer is not for them alone. I pray also for those who will believe in me through their message, that all of them may be one, Father, just as you are in me and I am in you. May they also be in us so that the world may believe that you have sent me. I have given them the glory that you gave me, that they may be one as we are one— I in them and you in me—so that they may be brought to complete unity. Then the world will know that you sent me and have loved them even as you have loved me.”

‭‭John‬ ‭17‬:‭20‬-‭23‬ ‭NIV‬‬

Story time!!

Remember that dry season that I said I was in before? These past two weeks have been the Lord taking me out of that and showing me the beginning of this new season that He is bringing me into with Him.

This past week I have been seeing more and more examples of the Lords power and authority, mostly through my team and squad.

Tuesday last week was a very significant day for my team. Our Tuesday ministry is going to a school in the mountains and helping teach English and helping with the PE class from 8am ~ 1:30 pm. After school is over, we go and do house visits, usually. On that day, Chicho, one of our ministry hosts, took us up to this mountain and he said “pray about the role that each person plays in the team.” So we did. Boy, am I glad that we did. It was so unifying and redirecting for us as a team. After the fact is when we felt Yada actually come together as YADA and it was so beautiful. God used that time Yada spent on the mountain to prepare us for what would be happening that evening.

That evening, around 6pm, is when my team needed to gather and pray for Lexi. We needed to pray for deliverance. Now I had never experienced or been apart of anything like that before and while I have had some exposure to that earlier in the Race, this was different for me. When I was praying over her, I had an overwhelming feeling of Jesus’s authority and power in my prayers that I have never felt before. I was scared before but I knew I was confident now. What started as just team Yada praying for her bled into another team joining in worship and another team joining in prayer and intercession which then led to the whole squad coming together and praying for Lexi!! I was so overwhelmed with the power of the Holy Spirit that I was getting so excited, I couldn’t stop reading my Bible! I felt so passionate about the new feeling of confidence that I had in the Lord. I’m no longer worried for Lexi, but I’m excited to see the freedom that she’s going to have and be apart of praying and interceding for her freedom. Praising God for the freedom that she’s already received and basking in awe of how orderly our God is slowly revealing bits of freedom at a time to her. Praise God! 🙏🏼 ❤️

The feeling of the confidence carried me through the rest of the week last week. Now I just feel like I need to be genuinely applying myself more when it comes to my God and I time. I need to not only be reading my Word but studying my Word. I’m in my Bible every day but I need to take my time to process what I’m learning with the Lord and be more intentional. It’s hard but it was never promised to be easy.  ”strengthening the disciples and encouraging them to remain true to the faith. “We must go through many hardships to enter the kingdom of God,” they said.“ ‭‭Acts‬ ‭14‬:‭22‬ ‭NIV‬‬. This was the verse I was thinking of.

Please be praying for my squad as more and more things are continuing to be revealed to individuals throughout our time in Guatemala, that we would continue to press into Him and rely on God and not let our trials waver our faith. Please pray for me as I am dealing with lots of stomach issues that the Lord would heal me from this, because I know He can heal me from whatever this is. Please pray for the country of Guatemala that they would continue to be receptive of the Gospel as we go out and share and sobriety over Guatemala as well. To Him be the glory forever and ever, amen. 🙏🏼
